Project Tree is an effective option so that everyone can contribute something to our environment, fight global climate change, and aid in the social projection of third world countries.

 

Project Tree is an attempt to generate viable and profitable alternatives for protecting of forested areas in private hands, so that their owners cease to exploit them by means of activities that imply cutting the trees down and allow the forest to be preserved in its natural state. 

In underdeveloped countries, populations living in wooded areas seek their subsistence by means of commercial exploitation of the soil and the trees found there, whether by exploiting the timber or leasing the land for farming, construction, cattle raising, and only occasionally do they dedicate their land to tourism, which translates into accelerated clearing of the forests and destruction of the biodiversity that they shelter.

PROJECT TREE prevents deforestation and encourages reforestation with two different programs, protecting existing trees through Adopt-A-Tree or regenerating deforested zones through Plant-A-Tree.

• Land in wooded areas is leased for several years by Project Tree to preserve it in its natural state, primordially to avoid deforestation on the farms, which will allow owners to benefit from the earnings on them.

• PROJECT TREE is supported by placing in adoption the different trees on the property. Each tree is coded and marked and in turn is adopted by a nature lover who helps protect the tree s/he adopted as well as the surrounding environment through his/her collaboration.
